Zion Lutheran is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (, in the Northern Texas-Northern Louisiana Synod (

Our mission is to be participants in God’s mission to love and to help heal a broken world. We welcome all as we follow Jesus.

Zion was founded in 1892 by a group of German immigrants as a place to worship and to bond in fellowship as a community of Christians. Evangelism, responding to be Christ’s witnesses, is leading Zion to the purpose of sharing our faith, sharing Christ’s love for all people, and empowering each of us to make a difference in this world and each other. This is our call. We know that our relationship with God adds a life full of meaning and joy and we would love for you to be part of that.

Church involves more than attending worship on Sunday. It’s about being with those who love God and want to know more about Christ. And be stronger in their faith and relationships, whether its with family, friends or those that are struggling and trying to understand their purpose in life. Its about involvement and opportunities that allow others to see Christ through our actions.

Zion has many opportunities to help in all these endeavors, including ministering to others within our community and elsewhere. From music, Bible study, providing meals for school children, gathering with other young or older adults, painting and craft projects, quilting, activities for seniors, parent’s night out – and special events like celebrating the birth of Christ through worship and music on Christmas Eve.

Join us, pray and sing with us, make a difference, grow in your faith, and be involved.
